Kirk Barker Save The 1 Pro-Life Speaker — Challenging Pre-Natal Diagnosis

In 2002, Kirk’s wife Chassidy was facing serious health problems at one month pregnant, and they were  told by doctors that she needed to abort or she would die.  Fearing the worst — that both mother and baby would die, the Barker’s went to The Women’s Center abortion clinic in Nashville, Tennessee, where they encountered pro-life sidewalk counselors who pleaded with them not to abort.  These counselors listened to their desperate story, then said they would pray for the Barkers.   Kirk and Chassidy proceeded inside the abortion clinic, about to sign what Kirk calls “the death certificate,” when Chassidy said she could not go through with the abortion — that she didn’t care if she dies, and that she was going to trust God with her life and with her pregnancy.  Two weeks later, Chassidy was miraculously cured, and their son Cameron was born seven months later.

Today, Kirk and his wife have a ministry Cameron’s Chance Pro-Life Advocacy .  Their story has been featured on EWTN’s At Home With Jim & Joy, in newspapers and on radio programs.  CBN will be sharing their story soon.  Kirk has done speaking nationally for churches, and for pro-life events such as 40 Days For Life.  Here is their story published to our blog:  Doctor Said Abort or She Would Die, by Kirk Barker
