Travon Clifton Pro-life speaker MI Travon Clifton is a pro-life speaker with Save the 1, an organization whose mission is to educate everyone on why all pre-born children should be protected by law and accepted by society, without exception and without compromise. Now a wife and mother, Travon is passionate about defending the rights of the unborn and desires to also use her story as well as her secular and biblical training to demonstrate the transformative power of Scripture through Jesus Christ. After years of producing television and radio broadcasts while booking numerous guests to tell their story, Travon found the courage to tell hers. At the age of 18, she learned that she was conceived in rape when her mother told her, just following her 18th birthday. Using candor, empathy, and humor, Travon shares her personal journey of experiencing shame, heightened by the revelation of her conception, and weaves it into a beautiful story of grace and redemption. Not only has Travon been sharing her testimony in the pro-life arena, but she’s also honed her personable skills working in media for nearly 15 years.  She currently produces Equipped For Life with Pastor Christopher Brooks, a radio broadcast and outreach of Evangel Ministries in Detroit, MI.  Prior to this, she worked with Dr. Glenn R. Plummer, President and owner of Christian Television Network. Travon speaks internationally for pregnancy center fundraisers, Days For Life rallies, Right to Life events, Students For Life events, high school conferences, Black History Month, etc..  She’s been featured in a 5-minute video produced by Right to Life of Michigan which they’ve been showing at their fundraisers, and was featured in one of the 30-second ads produced by Right to Life of Michigan on the question of “in cases of rape,” televised beginning Jan. 2015.  Travon was interviewed by one of her personal heroes, Dr. James Dobson, on his Family Talk radio program, along with four other members of Save The 1, in episodes that aired Aug. 27th, 28th, and 29th, 2014. Travon has also served as a Sunday school teacher for over a decade and became a licensed Baptist minister in 2009. Upon marrying in 2010, she became a member of Seth Temple Church of God in Christ, serving with her family under the leadership of Pastor Philip R. Jackson. Travon is currently a producer of Equipped For Life, a radio series hosted by Pastor Christopher W.
